As I observed from very long time in Indian manufacturing industries, Indian product quality is much impressive then china but we are not sustaining it throughout the product cycle.
Year by year, the raw material cost are increased and customer are always demanding for price reduction from the component suppliers. Companies are struggling to achieve cost reduction along with profit margin as per calculation to survival. I saw many companies which are compromising with product quality to make their profits. Even without cost reduction into the product, due to raise in the wages of all employees and increase in inflation.
Companies needs to take new innovative actions to reduce the indirect cost and maintain the profitability with consistent growth. As a good organization, it is always think about its product quality and consistent product supply to the customer even with cost reduction also.
I Initiated and successfully completed many improvement projects as a cost reduction through rejection and rework reduction, time reduction with productivity improvement activities. Organization shall make a system so much robust that organization should be run by the system only. As per me make a “System Driven Organization” rather than “Organization Driven system”.
To make the system driven organization we have to face many issues to improvements. In Indian manufacturing industries, various people have their own Ego and Mind sets. To work with such kind of mind sets and make your organization system driven, you have to face a lot of trouble to divert their mind and implement a robust system. I had face many issues in my life in various industries and as per my observations, you should move back foot while you trying to implement any new system into the process. Many people are trying not to implement a new system as they are well set with the existing system which is older one and they do not want to work with the new revised system in which they have to improve them self by any education or any trainings. It may hurt their Ego.
You have to show patient in your attitude and your work to create a good work culture and system oriented work culture with Teamwork into Organization’s DNA. Once you implement your system, you should not be looking at the back but you have to think a new innovative ideas and move forward towards a new Goal and new improvements.
Such small improvements over a period of time will generate a good indirect revenue to the organization and organization will see the indirect profit over a period of time and it will defiantly make people happy into the organization.
Customers are always feel confident on the companies having good Teamwork and culture having creative mind-set people which are always eager to learn a new things and trying the implement its good things into the work.
I HOPE ABOVE MY OBSERVATION WITH A VERY FEW EXPERIENCE IS HELPFUL TO OTHERS.
